Today I’m going to reveal a super easy self hypnosis technique which you can use whenever you go to bed to achieve a pleasant state of self hypnosis. This self hypnosis technique relies on the hypnogogic state between wakefulness and sleep: that feeling when you’re lying in bed and you haven’t fallen asleep yet, but you know you’re not entirely conscious.


During this hypnogogic state, you will likely experience random thoughts, images, and emotions that flitter in and out of your mind beyond your control. As we lay in bed trying to fall asleep, we’ll often think of events that occurred during the day, and what we’ll do tomorrow. “I wish I hadn’t argued with Steve today. I gotta remember to go to the bank tomorrow!” (not exactly like that, but you get the picture).

Pregnant women going into labor have several options to choose from when it comes to pain management. They can choose to go the all-natural route. They can choose to get an epidural or pain medication.

Unfortunately, I didn’t know at the time of my own labor that there is an alternative method to approaching the birthing process: Childbirth Hypnosis, or HypnoBirthing. Hypnobirthing is a philosophy centered around the idea that FEAR is the primary cause of pain during childbirth. It uses gentle, calm self-hypnosis techniques that promote relaxation and pain management.

Let’s face it, in these modern times, women are not accustomed to pain. We’ve invented all sorts of nifty procedures and medications to make the birthing process easier. But when you really think about it, a natural birth is what our bodies were MADE to do. Childbirth Hypnosis helps to bring us back to this basic concept of womanhood and motherhood; back to our primal, natural roots.
