There seems to be a shortage of good news these days. We are constantly bombarded with negative images and words in the media. Skimming through the newspaper and watching the nightly news, we are constantly hearing about record job losses, mortgage foreclosures, and major corporations filing for bankruptcy. Maybe you have been laid off yourself. Maybe you’re one of the millions of people struggling to pay their monthly mortgage.
What are we to do? How are we to interpret all of this? Is there a way to use the power of positive thinking, positive imagery, and self hypnosis to turn all of this negativity into something we can utilize, as a motivating force to help us get out of our slump and rise above the recession?
I just recently found this insightful and interesting article written by Betty Jespersen in the Maine Morning Sentinel.
Swan said within a week of starting her group sessions at Franklin County Hypnosis Center in Wilton, she no longer wanted to drink soda and stopped buying it.
“I was skeptical at first. I always thought hypnosis was hocus-pocus. Not anymore. I’ve lost 10 pounds, I’m making healthy food choices and it has helped me get through my barriers,” she said. “It is miraculous.”
