There seems to be a shortage of good news these days. We are constantly bombarded with negative images and words in the media. Skimming through the newspaper and watching the nightly news, we are constantly hearing about record job losses, mortgage foreclosures, and major corporations filing for bankruptcy. Maybe you have been laid off yourself. Maybe you’re one of the millions of people struggling to pay their monthly mortgage.
What are we to do? How are we to interpret all of this? Is there a way to use the power of positive thinking, positive imagery, and self hypnosis to turn all of this negativity into something we can utilize, as a motivating force to help us get out of our slump and rise above the recession?
Pregnant women going into labor have several options to choose from when it comes to pain management. They can choose to go the all-natural route. They can choose to get an epidural or pain medication.
Unfortunately, I didn’t know at the time of my own labor that there is an alternative method to approaching the birthing process: Childbirth Hypnosis, or HypnoBirthing. Hypnobirthing is a philosophy centered around the idea that FEAR is the primary cause of pain during childbirth. It uses gentle, calm self-hypnosis techniques that promote relaxation and pain management.
Let’s face it, in these modern times, women are not accustomed to pain. We’ve invented all sorts of nifty procedures and medications to make the birthing process easier. But when you really think about it, a natural birth is what our bodies were MADE to do. Childbirth Hypnosis helps to bring us back to this basic concept of womanhood and motherhood; back to our primal, natural roots.
I just recently found this insightful and interesting article written by Betty Jespersen in the Maine Morning Sentinel.
Swan said within a week of starting her group sessions at Franklin County Hypnosis Center in Wilton, she no longer wanted to drink soda and stopped buying it.
“I was skeptical at first. I always thought hypnosis was hocus-pocus. Not anymore. I’ve lost 10 pounds, I’m making healthy food choices and it has helped me get through my barriers,” she said. “It is miraculous.”
Good for her! This is just an example of the sort of positive results you can get from hypnosis. Read the rest of this entry »
I found this interesting article about self-hypnosis from “The Sunday Independent”. Looks like it really works!
“If you visualise being stronger, running faster or winning, you are priming your nervous system to do just that,” says Dr Aimee Kimball, the director of mental training in sports medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. “Studies have found that the method can enhance physical performance significantly, sometimes by 20 percent or more.”
Welcome to the first post of the Self-Hypnosis Audio Blog! The purpose of this blog is to present products, resources, and information to those of you seeking to achieve self-hypnosis through the use of audio recordings. I will offer links to hypnosis music and hypnosis mp3 downloads.
Whether you wish to quit smoking, lose weight, gain confidence, or simply test the boundaries of your own consciousness, listening to self-hypnosis audio is a great way to do it. You won’t have to rely on drugs, complicated diets, or expensive counselling to achieve your goals. You can be completely self-reliant, counting on the power of your own brain to solve personal, physical, and emotional problems.
Wikipedia defines self-hypnosis as: “hypnosis in which a person hypnotizes himself or herself without the assistance of another person to serve as the hypnotist”. A popular and effective method of doing so is by listening to self-hypnosis audio recordings, which often consist of soothing hypnosis music accompanied by a voice repeating positive affirmations.
Science has proven that hypnosis is a real, verifiable phenomenon that can alter a person’s state of mind to make positive emotional and psychological changes. There is more to hypnosis than those silly stage acts seen on television and in Las Vegas! You can use these hypnosis mp3 downloads to harness the power of your own mind using self-hypnosis audio and hypnosis music, and watch your life change for the better!
